The project continues a series of activities successfully implemented in the previous year, which demonstrated significant and tangible results in work with the Belarusian diaspora. In 2026, the project will include several interconnected components.

Preparation for democratic reforms: the development and public presentation of a concept for a draft law on the Committee on Ethics of the Civil Service and Anti-Corruption, as well as the presentation and analysis of a concept for a law on the Constitutional Court. The project also foresees a study visit for independent Belarusian journalists persecuted by the Belarusian regime and working for the benefit of a democratic Belarus.

Project objectives

The goal of the “Belarusian Bridge” project is to develop and continue the platform created in 2025, aimed at strengthening the potential of Belarusian democratic civil society in exile through work with the diaspora and professional communities, and preparing the basis for future democratic reforms in Belarus.

Actions and results

The project strengthens the potential of Belarusian democratic civil society in exile through systematic work with the diaspora, professional communities and experts. As a result of the project implementation, a sustainable platform for educational and social activities will be created, concepts of key democratic institutions will be developed and publicly presented, and the professional potential of independent Belarusian media outlets and specialists will be strengthened. Public expert discussions will ensure the long-term social and international impact of the project.
