Supporting the modernization and implementation of competence-based teacher education curricula and processes in Kenya
Project objectives
The aim of the project is to support education reform in Kenya through the modernisation of teacher education. The project will help to enhance teacher education by adapting curricula to modern pedagogical trends, introducing innovative teaching methodologies, including digital pedagogy, to ensure that future teachers have the necessary competences to cope with the challenges of the educational environment.
Actions and results
Planned results of the project:
- Competences of universities and teaching staff: the capacity of the Institutes of Education delivering teacher training in the participating universities to develop, implement and evaluate competency-based curricula and to share this knowledge with other universities has increased.
