Strengthening the Capacity of Kenya’s Justice System (PLEAD II)
Project objectives
The PLEAD II project’s key objectives include facilitating peer-to-peer exchanges through study visits to Estonia as well as engaging Estonian justice sector experts to lead training sessions in Kenya, conducting online and offline capacity building and advisory for the NCAJ’s ICT Committee, and supporting the development of guidelines for digitally transforming the justice sector.
Actions and results
PLEAD II supports transformative criminal justice reforms that aim to harness the power of digitalisation to improve the public sector’s efficiency and citizen access. These digital solutions will eventually improve service delivery, cut processing time and increase transparency to help combat corruption.
