The programme aims to develop entrepreneurship and export capacity in Zhytomyr Oblast by strengthening local value chains and promoting cooperation between Estonian and Ukrainian enterprises. The programme will involve 80 entrepreneurs from five key sectors (e.g. manufacturing, agriculture, electronics, renewable energy, creative industries), with 6 large enterprises and 12-18 start-ups in each sector.

Project objectives

The aim of the project is to develop the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Zhytomyr Oblast by supporting bigger companies in their internationalisation and by creating value chains that enable smaller companies to grow and integrate alongside larger enterprises. The project will contribute to strengthening five key sectors where bigger companies will receive export capability training and smaller companies will develop their business models to support the bigger companies with services and products.

Actions and results

Activities include export, management and ESG training, business model development workshops, mentoring programmes, local and international study tours and promoting sustainability through gamified challenges. The project will strengthen economically important sectors, increase the international competitiveness of enterprises and promote cooperation between Estonia and Ukraine.
