Our Freedom is My Responsibility
Project objectives
The museum lesson will help young people understand the role of freedom, human rights, and responsibility in building a sustainable and peaceful society.
Actions and results
The lesson includes a practical workshop where young people discuss value-based dilemmas and connect historical experiences to today’s sustainable development challenges. The lesson is based on non-formal and active learning methods and supports the development of global citizenship competences.
Alongside the museum lesson, a web course will be created on the Noorte Vabamu (NoVa) study platform in three languages, about 6 × 45 minutes in total, allowing participants to consolidate what they learned independently and enabling teachers to select individual topics and tasks from the course as pre- or post-lesson activities.
A version adapted for outreach allows the lesson to be delivered not only at the museum but also in schools across Estonia, where there often aren’t enough opportunities to visit museums in Tallinn.
