Women Leadership in public ICT sector

Women often face intersectional marginalization (e.g., socio-economically, linguistically, educationally), which can be further amplified by gender gaps in data sets resulting in biases in Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications. Inherent biases in AI applications can result in less accurate medical diagnoses or targeted disadvantages in recruitment, insurance, credit and court systems.

The project is part of the global Team Europe Initiative, which aims to promote regional cooperation in building digital capabilities and civic competences of women and girls in East (Uganda, Kenya, Mozambique, Tanzania) and West Africa (Nigeria, Senegal, Benin), the Middle East (Jordan), Southeast Asia (Cambodia, Philippines), Central Asia (Uzbekistan), Eastern Europe (Moldova, Kosovo, Ukraine) and Latin America (Chile, Colombia).
