Based on Estonia's long-term experience in developing clean technology and the digital sector ecosystem, the project aims to establish the building blocks for structuring the Kenyan clean digital technology development, including a communication system that will foster further interaction and sustainable communication links with the Estonian ecosystem. The project partners have deep connections in the digital clean technology ecosystem in their respective countries: entrepreneurs, researchers, investors - they are the direct beneficiaries of the project.

Project objectives

Based on Estonia's long-term experience in developing clean technology and the digital sector ecosystem, the project aims to establish the building blocks for structuring the Kenyan clean digital technology development, including a communication system that will foster further interaction and sustainable communication links with the Estonian ecosystem.

Actions and results

To achieve the objectives of the project, the Kenyan ecosystem of clean digital technologies will be mapped, as well as the opportunities for Estonian companies in this market. The most suitable communication system for the Kenyan ecosystem will be established, along with a link between communication channels in the partner countries to facilitate communication and cooperation between them. Project partners will meet virtually, but also in Kenya and Estonia to meet key players in each other's ecosystem, share best practices and jointly create project outputs through workshops.

After the end of the project, Cleantech Estonia (CE) will continue to exchange information with the project partner and the participants in the Kenyan digital ecosystem, through a common communication channel, that will be established during the project. From the experience of the project, CE is looking to replicate similar activities in other developing countries.
