Project objectives
The overall objective of the project is to increase the awareness and understanding among the Estonian population of development cooperation and humanitarian aid as an important part of Estonia’s foreign policy, security, and values-based international engagement, while also strengthening trust in the humanitarian sector and the visibility of Estonia’s role in addressing international crises.
Actions and results
As part of the project, international Tallinn Humanitarian Conferences will be organised (Nov 2026), bringing leading humanitarian experts to Estonia and providing a platform for knowledge exchange and the development of professional partnerships. In addition, a series of short Estonian-language videos will be produced to explain how humanitarian aid works in a clear and accessible way, address common misconceptions, and link global crises to values, security, and well-being in Estonian society.
The project’s direct beneficiaries are the Estonian adult population, particularly young people, as well as professionals working in the humanitarian and development cooperation sector. As a result, public awareness and trust in humanitarian aid will increase, alongside the international visibility and professional capacity of Estonia’s humanitarian sector.
