The objective of this 2-day training on “Data Sharing for Climate and Agriculture” is to enhance participants' knowledge and understanding of data-sharing practices in climate action and agricultural development. The training will focus on providing practical knowledge, real-world case studies, and interactive exercises to help participants explore the benefits, challenges, and applications of data sharing within these sectors.

Scope of work

The selected service provider will be responsible for the design and delivery of the training for 30-40 people, mainly with a background in the public sector and academia. This includes:

  • Develop training content, materials, and interactive exercises aligned with the programme below.
  • Deliver a 2-day training session in Senegal, conducted in French.
  • Provide interpretation to English for the training and the forum the following day (3 days).
  • Deliver a 1.5-hour webinar 1-2 months after the training (mid-April to mid-May), conducted in French, related to the topics covered in the training.

Deliverables

Training Materials:

  • Comprehensive training content, including presentations, handouts, and exercises.
  • Integrate real-world case studies on data sharing for climate and agriculture (developed by Data Governance in Africa project partners).
  • Group work assignment for interactive learning sessions.

Training Session:

  • Delivery of a 2-day training (March 18-19, 2025) using an interactive and participatory approach.

Post-Training Evaluation:

  • Evaluation report summarizing participant feedback, challenges, and recommendations for future improvements.
