Description: The project targets governmental institutions to build resilience to foreign malign information operations, and facilitates cooperation at the central governmental level to achieve this objective. Activities support capacity development of the staff of the Centre for Strategic Communications and Information Security (StratCom Ukraine / CSC), established 2021 as a subsidiary of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy and the Centre for Countering Disinformation by the National Security and Defence Council. In addition, project activities (study programmes in Estonia and Ukraine, knowledge exchange trips, mentoring, and information materials) are available for the representatives of key communication teams within the ministries of Ukraine, relevant individuals engaged in state communications or public relations in regional and local administrations, and representatives within civil society organisations responsible for communication activities. To facilitate activities in Ukraine, ESTDEV works closely with its long-term partner Ukraine Crisis Media Centre (UCMC). Currently, Ukraine is relying on the support of its international partners to develop effective and efficient institutions to support Ukraine in strengthening its partnership with the EU and, ultimately, to become an EU member state. The final beneficiary of the project is the general public in Ukraine.
