Kyrgyzstan: Building a Transparent Future for Rural Communities via Digitalisation

Description: This project aims to support rural youth and women in the Osh and Issyk-Kul regions through improving digital literacy and skills development, promoting inclusion in public affairs on the local level, and strengthening education and training for digital entrepreneurship. Project activities are first and foremost focused on identifying existing gaps in digital literacy and skills development and matching these with solutions. The digital capacity of local authorities and civil society organisations is an additional focus, with the aim to improve skills in order to enable organisations to include and involve women and youth in public affairs and local level decision-making.The final part of the project involves the implementation and promotion of modern solutions and digital skills in entrepreneurship and vocational training.

The project is implemented by the Estonian Centre for International Development, together with the Public Association Civil Initiative Center, “Leader” (Kyrgyz Republic).
