Eva-Maria Liimets, Former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Joins ESTDEV

As of today, Eva-Maria Liimets joins the Estonian Center for International Development as Head of Strategy. She is responsible for strategic business development in the Eastern Partnership countries an the Western Balkans.

“Development cooperation plays an important and ever-growing role in fulfilling Estonia’s foreign policy goals and increasing our international influence. Increasing stability, democracy, and prosperity in the Eastern neighborhood of the European Union has long been a priority for the security policy of Estonia,” said Eva-Maria Liimets.

“The reconstruction of Ukraine is a big challenge and an opportunity for the organizers of development cooperation. As a strategy advisor, I would like to develop projects where, with our expertise, we firmly support Ukraine’s integration with the European Union and help restore the living conditions of the children most affected by the war,” added Liimets.
